Helle Vendelbo MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon and owner of Borden Lane Veterinary Surgery.

Soon after my graduation from the Royal Veterinary and agricultural School in Denmark, I started working for Mr Flower on Sheppey.

In 1996 I joined the Sittingbourne branch.  When Mr Flower retired in 2004, I became the proud owner of Borden Lane Veterinary Surgery.

I love all aspects of my job and feel very fortunate to have such a great team of dedicated nurses, receptionists and vets working alongside me.

Outside work I enjoy riding my motorbike, skiing and walking.  Over the years I have done several treks for different charities.  In October 2010 I did a Borneo Trek challenge for the Blue Cross.

I have 2 cats - Wills and SilleMis - and now 5 dogs!!.  A flatcoated retriever called Seal, a Labrador called Fleur, a mad Irish Setter caled Ceili, a rescue Greyhound called Musa and my latest rescue dog Eade a lurcher.  They all get along fine - and are completely bilingual!

I work part-time at the moment but i am always available if you need to see me or have a chat regarding your pets.

Ewen Bennett BSc BVSc MRCVS

I graduated from Bristol Vet School in 2001 with degrees in Zoology and Veterinary Medicine. At that time, the foot and mouth outbreak was at its peak and DEFRA were desperate for new graduates to join the disease control force. I duly did a draining six months of national service and then began to work freelance as a locum at various small animal practices around the south-west of England. I then settled down and spent three happy years working at a first opinion small animal practice in central Bristol.

I was delighted to start working for Helle and the team just before Christmas 2006.

In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking with my pet Husky Huggy who drags me all around the local countryside most evenings and weekends.

I look forward to meeting you all and your pets over the coming months and years. I work at the surgery Monday to Thursday and Fridays and Saturdays every other week.
